Enishiya Uchiha

Enishiya Uchiha (うちはエニシヤ, Uchiha Enishiya) was the daughter of Madara Uchiha and Mito Uzumaki. She became one of the only known Dragon Sages in the world, awarding her the status of a legend whose story is told across lands. She was later revived by Obito Uchiha's Edo Tensei during the events leading up to the Fourth Shinobi World War, being used as a pawn until Madara's own revival, at which point he released his daughter from the jutsu.

Background

Enishiya Uchiha is the product of the unlikely union between Madara Uchiha and Mito Uzumaki. What began as a seemingly happy marriage was rather abruptly torn apart by Madara's untimely demise, leaving Enishiya without a father starting at the age of four. Up until that point, she had tentatively begun her grooming as the future head of the Uchiha clan, but seeing as Madara's "death" had left the clan without a leader, she was preceeded by Hikaku instead until she came of age.

He did his best to continue to raise her by Uchiha standards, but Mito slowly drifted apart from the Uchiha clan, taking Enishiya with her. She was introduced to Uzumaki standards and traditions, though she was still allowed to keep in contact with those Uchiha she was close with, albeit only on occasion. Nobody faulted Mito for her withdrawal; many assumed she had merely fallen into a depression after her husband's death. Enishiya did not understand the reality of what had happened until she had asked her mother one too many times when her father was coming home and Mito snapped at her that he wasn't going to.

That outburst was quickly remedied by tearful apologies, but Mito carefully explained to her the meaning of death and that there was no coming back from it. Enishiya had cried, of course, and it was a fresh bout of pain for the both of them, but with time she began to accept what had happened and move on, helping her mother to do the same.

As she grew older and became more independent, she spent more and more time amoung the Uchiha, learning things her father had never had the opportunity to tell her and consequently learning more about Madara himself. As she was told of his magnificent power and legendary skills, she slowly convinced herself that the odds of a shinobi of his calibre succumbing to such a disgraceful death had to have been incredibly low. Almost impossible, even.

Enishiya silently took up the belief that her father was indeed still alive. She didn't share her suspicions with anybody, concluding to herself that if she were right, then there must have been a reason Madara hadn't returned and therefore it was imperative that she kept it a secret. She began her quest for clues without anyone's knowledge, developing an affinity for discreet manipulation and harmless trickery in order to gather information. All trails seemed to grow cold the farther from the village she investigated, however. She became convinced that her answers had to be within the village walls or somewhere nearby.

For a time, her hunt for Madara became her sole priority in life. She became withdrawn from both the Uchiha and Uzumaki clans, as well as the village as a whole, which inevitably caused some to worry about her. When they expressed their concerns, she merely assured them that she was fine and simply focused on her studies. She was still learning all there was to know about the Uchiha clan's history, diving into her research and analyses.

Sometime after reaching adulthood and still having yet to make any great strides in the way of progress on her secret mission, Enishiya met a man named Chiyuki Senju. He was the stoic, yet head-strong son of Tobirama Senju and Amateru Hyuga, though Enishiya hadn't fully realized that at the time of meeting him. He was the first person who had gone out of his way to approach her in quite some time, something she found oddly astonishing. They began to spend time with one another, getting to know each other, and before she knew it she had fallen in love with him.

He had never made any obvious advances on her, but once Enishiya had confirmed her feelings for him and started to be more intimate with him of her own accord, he responded in kind, as if he had been waiting for her to make the first move. He admitted that he had been hesitant to fraternize with her on account of his father's outspoken prejudices against the Uchiha, but denounced those same views for himself. They began seeing each other romantically in secret, sneaking off together in the dead of night. They were eventually caught, of course, much to the great displeasure of Tobirama, but Mito all but verbally beat him over the matter until he had his metaphorical tail between his legs and opted to keep his mouth shut about it.

It was then that Enishiya and Chiyuki began to discuss the topic of marriage. Their mutual decision was a resounding "yes", and it wasn't long after that that they made it official. Enishiya noted to herself that, ever since meeting Chiyuki, she had been focusing less and less on tracking down her father, but she didn't necessarily think that was a bad thing. If anything, by that point in her life, she had begun to think of it as a lost cause, little more than the childish wishes of someone who couldn't accept the truth.

Despite this, Enishiya eventually confessed to her husband about what she had come to label as her own foolish conspiracies. Chiyuki surprised her by saying that her suspicions were not entirely unfounded. He didn't encourage her to resume her hobby of immersing herself in the hunt, but he kept her hope alive that maybe, somehow, her father was still out there. She consoled herself by believing he must have had a good reason for not returning nor so much as sending a hawk to his only daughter or even his wife. A very good reason.

Enishiya would later fall in the Second Shinobi World War after birthing a daughter named Amane, who got her namesake from her paternal grandmother. Chiyuki survived to raise her, unable to keep from wondering to himself if Uchiha made a habit of dying and leaving their family behind.

Personality

Enishiya seems to have inherited a fair few traits from both of her parents. She is outspoken and strong-willed like her mother, stubborn and head-strong like her father. She has very bold ideas about the world around her and she has a habit of making unwelcome suggestions when she comes across something she deems lousy or inefficient. Or someone, for that matter.

She is not exceptionally vulnerable when it comes to her emotions. She would much rather keep them to herself and only spare the necessary details, if any. She plays herself to the public as the self-assured, level-headed diplomat her mother raised her to be, but she often keeps a lot hidden inside herself, specifically her anger, sadness, and other volatile emotions. She doesn't want to be seen as someone who can be moved so easily, despite the fact that her emotions are part of what make her human.

Appearance

Enishiya is a fairly tall woman with long, feathery red hair that reaches all the way to her thighs. She has narrow, feline-esque black eyes that sit prominently amoung her sharp, pallid features. She typically wears either red or black clothing bearing the Uchiha insignia somewhere along the fabric. She wears her village-assigned forehead protector when out on missions.
